It takes a lot of teamwork to deliver an excellent purchasing and ownership experience. Schomp BMW of Highlands Ranch has done this two years in a row. Earning the 2012 and 2013 Center of Excellence Award.
Schomp BMW is part of the locally-owned and operated Ralph Schomp Automotive group that includes Schomp Honda in Littleton, Schomp MINI in Littleton, as well as Fay Myers Motorcycle World in Greenwood Village.
In the spring of 2013, Schomp went to BMW’s NAC event to find the latest technologies that could improve customer service in the service drive. They were looking for better ways to communicate with staff and ways in being able to time compress the service initiation and vehicle delivery process.
We worked closely with the Schomp BMW team to streamline various processes. This involved engineering the shop to track cars going in and out and also tracking cars in two distinct car wash operations. Finally, MDL placed readers / antennas at the campus choke point to track cars coming and going and to be able to define context level logic rules which would communicate test drive events in real time.
In addition, MDL worked closely with the Schomp IT team led by Dewayne Barker for MDL’s first user level integration with the store’s Dealer Socket CRM system. MDL also replaced a Google Docs manual dispatch system with MDL’s newest module – Dispatch Master.
- Two (2) RFID readers and four (4) high gain antennas for the dealership campus entrance / exit.
- One (1) RFID readers for service drive concierge and two (1) for the car washes;
- One (1) RFID reader for shop entrances (2) with bi directional antenna engineering.
- Twin 60” Display on the service drive announcing the arrival of their clients;
- Wall-Mounted Flat panel monitors to alert valets of client arrival and return + Dispatch Master display
- Individualized and custom miniature monitors for each service advisor;
